Halloween Costume Safety Tips

Follow these safety tips to make sure your kids have a fun...and safe...Halloween!
MAKE IT FLAME-RESISTANT
Choose flame-resistant costumes, masks, wigs, and beards. Avoid loose, flowing fabrics.
BE VISIBLE
Choose bright colors and add reflective tape to costumes and treat bags.
TAKE A FLASHLIGHT
Carry a flashlight to see and be seen after dark.
CHECK THE FIT
Costumes should not drag, secure hats and scarves so they don't block eyesight, and shoes should be sturdy and comfortable.
CAN YOU SEE?
Make sure masks fit securely, allow clear vision and have good ventilation. Or opt for face paint.
SAFELY ACCESSORIZE
Choose soft, flexible props instead of sharp or rigid accessories.
Have fun, safe and a spooktacular Halloween!
